Today, at the museum, I created a new exhibit documenting the three tribes that currently share Fort Berthold Reservation: the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara (aka Sahnish). The southern part of the Mandan, Hidatsa, & Arikara Nation (Fort Berthold Res.) is in Dunn County.

Have you ever read "Counting Coup" by Larry Colton? I think you might like it--it's a non-fiction account of Native American high-school basketball players in Montana.

I played a native american basketball team from Montana when I was 13. The center for the team was also their bus driver. I'm not kidding. He was big. He wasn't 13.

I played a honky football team from Nebraska who had a mentally retarded defensive line. I'm serious!
