The much-needed recent rains have turned Killdeer Mountain green in a few spots, and have filled the beaver dams behind my parents' house.

Where exactly is Killdeer Mountain in these pictures? Is it that lil' bump in the first shot?

All these pictures are from on top of Killdeer Mountain. One word: Large.

It's all relative, I guess. Anyone from a Rocky Mountain state would find it odd that the Killdeers are called mountains. But for folks from, say, eastern ND, the Killdeers are quite impressive. More on this at http://www.state.nd.us/ndgs/NDNotes/ndn15-h.htm: "North Dakota's Mountainous areas."
