NEWS FROM SANDLAND:
1) encountered 3' rattle snake five minutes ago
2) plucked first beets, chard, lettuce and carrots from garden
3) married my one true love and soon-to-be mother of my children whom I adore with the hotness of twenty billion suns - Miss Hana Kasm!!

Congrats Jessica! Hana is due Jan. 31. Do you have morning sickness?
I did a little bit in the beginning but it made me feel pregnant and that is good. Thank goodness I was never sick. I kept nice smelling things around me like lavender and mint. Simple things like cucumber salad with a little salt and lots of watermelon always made me happy. My sister ate ginger candy to help with nausea. I hope Hana doesn't have it too bad and if so, that it passes very soon.
