Today was a day of leisure: shooting hoops, eating shrimp, playing poker, watching Super Bowl XL. Tomorrow begins a new year of work as curator of the Dunn County Historical Museum. Sleep beckons . . .

Before I forget, though: I've decided that I need a laptop computer. Does anyone have any buying tips? I want something that is fast but doesn't cost too much. Is the iMac or the PC better? Do you want to sell me yours perhaps?

i've heard about a certain kind of dell notebook (the exact name slips my mind unfortunately) that is supposed to be decent in terms of speed and whatnot and reliable, but that flooded the market and can now be found on ebay for really cheap. you should look into that. i'll try to remember the model's name.

Hey Chris,
Glad to hear the tour went well and you made it home safely! Maybe I'll come visit one of these weekends. Your dad was in SD last week and gave me a copy of Good to be Awake. I think it's my favorite! Jen is a nice addition. Harmony is the most beautiful sound to my ears. Hey, maybe Kirb can get you a deal on an HP laptop? Love you much!
